About Position
The Account Manager is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key clients while working to maximize business within an established account. They must be able to identify opportunities where products and services can support brand objectives and effectively position these opportunities with clients. It is extremely important that the Account Manager work to establish a clear set of goals and objectives with the client prior to downloading a project or program to the rest of the team. The Account Manager leads the internal team for a specific account and acts as a liaison between the client and the internal team. The Account Manager works with a team of Program Managers and Program Coordinators to proactively recommend solutions that support the brand strategy, continue to innovate on current products and services in the market, are within budget and can be executed within company and industry guidelines. The role of the Account Manager is to provide consistency for an account, when there may be multiple Program Managers and Program Coordinators driving individual projects and programs. The Account Manager is seen as an extension of the brand team.

Our client is actively searching for an organized, self motivated, positive, proactive individual to join the team as an Account Manager. The Account Manager will assist the company by providing the following support:

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive strategic partnerships with key clients
  • Maximize client interactions at all levels
  • Serve as primary point of contact for assigned clients
  • Ensure that strategic and tactical client goals are met and exceeded
  • Initiate and participate in client brainstorming sessions and proactively recommend options for clients based on brand strategy, phase in product lifecycle, budget, need, etc.
  • Initiate and lead strategic meetings with top level clients; determining how specific projects/program support overall brand goals
  • Establish a clear set of goals and objectives with the client prior to downloading a project or program to the rest of the team
  • Lead the project team by creating project plans and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Ability to proactively work with internal team members to develop content
  • Determine project metrics and assesses performance against metrics
  • Maximize volume of business within accounts, including development of proposals and work orders
  • Comfortably articulate/sell all capabilities
  • Travel on-site to meetings as needed
  • Prepare weekly communication outlining your business plan and project status

Education and Experience
  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • 5+ years of industry or position experience
  • Healthcare/ Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences preferred; specifically 2+ years as a sales representative and 2+ years as a P2P associate
  • Team leadership and project management experience required
  • PMI certification preferred but not required
