About Position
The Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the development of strategic marketing initiatives for clients. Our client develops innovative new marketing initiatives and educational programs for our clients. It is the responsibility of the Marketing Manager to ensure each program under their leadership is strategically sound, aligns to clients’ brand strategies, can be executed effectively and will deliver measurable results. At various times, the Marketing Manager may work independently on programs or may lead larger project teams. The Marketing Manager will be under the direction of the Vice President of Strategy & Compliance for strategic guidance and insights, however, responsibility for successful completion of each project lies with the Marketing Manager. Our client is actively searching for an organized, self motivated, positive, proactive, results-oriented marketing professional to join the team as a Marketing Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strategic marketing plans for assigned projects
  • Develop foundational level medical marketing content
  • Lead project teams in all necessary analysis and program development to meet or exceed client expectations
  • Consistently see the big picture and sort through the unimportant to focus on the most important brand/product issue (May not know the solution to address the issue, but is a resource investigator and thus seeks out the expertise of others that can be provided needed insights/perspective)
  • Review and internalize brand team goals, key metrics and planned activities/tactics
  • Proactively think about how to measure return on programs and identify key variables (early indicators and hard metrics) to assess program performance
  • Dissect a brand forecast into the most important variables and understand the market dynamics that could impact sales/volume
  • Keep multiple stakeholders (brand, other vendors, internal team) aligned and abreast of project work
  • Conduct comprehensive research on various initiatives (market, customer, competitive landscape)
  • Identify the most critical information from unimportant/superfluous, identifying key insights from data
  • Proactively recommend solutions, even in ambiguous situations
  • Understand when to seek support from the broader team to identify appropriate recommendations
  • Ask detailed questions prior to beginning a project to ensure the full scope is completely outlined, understood and in sync with the client’s expectations
  • Constantly pursue additional information and sources to help address an issue
  • Proactively identify potential risks and downside scenarios and put plans in place to mitigate
  • Full accountability for projects and awareness of the key variables/activities that are most sensitive to the client (compliance violations, privacy issues, etc.)
  • Coaching others on key aspects of brand marketing
Skills and Qualifications
  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • 5+ years healthcare, pharmaceutical or life sciences marketing experience
  • Strong understanding of the medical and marketing characteristics of the brand
  • Knowledge of compliance elements of the healthcare industry including laws, regulations and guidance documents, as well as privacy, OIG and pharmaceutical regulations
  • Strong internal and external relationship management skills and ability to lead large, diverse teams
  • Ability to work along side, manage and/or direct other vendors
  • High level of customer service (internal and external clients)
  • Strong organizational skills along with excellent oral and written communication ability
  • Sound analytical skills
  • Effective research, problem solving and conceptual skills
  • Ability to "roll-up" sleeves in a fast-growth entrepreneurial environment to service clients
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive under pressure
  • Must be detail oriented and highly accurate
  • Thrives while working in a team environment
  • Ability to take ownership and prioritize projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
