Department and Position Overview:
The Group Account Supervisor supports business development/sales efforts through overseeing and ensuring delivery of medical education and/or managed market services and products across multiple medical accounts within assigned clients. The Group Account Supervisor is responsible for collaboration with partners, Senior Management and support teams to ensure client programs are implemented with strategic insight and exceptional service.

Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for all proposal development, project management/projections/reconciliation and forecasting to meet corporate goals, including net and gross profitability requirements/standards across all assigned accounts
  • Collaborates with Sr. Account Supervisor/Account Supervisor to ensure proposal development is accurate and all teams hours are captured (traffic, production, creative, clinical/copy, meeting services)
  • Works within and manages to a budgeted labor hours by job and position level, to ensure minimum standards of job profitability.
  • Monitors budgets including direct costs and labor costs to ensure team members/direct reports are managing to assigned budgeted labor hours and managing direct costs
  • Maintains and/or exceeds minimum billable utilization percentages for position level
  • Ensure that direct reports/team members maintain and/or exceed minimum billable utilization percentages for position level.
  • Identify, create, develop, maintain and/or expand business opportunities within existing clients
  • Provide Strategic and marketing guidance to client and agency teams across several brands
  • Ensure that strategic recommendations to client are in line with client’s business goals
  • Manage and exceed client expectations for all facets of project management, to include strategic and tactical element development and project execution
  • Provide day-to-day management and ongoing communications to the client and to teams regarding strategic program planning, material development and project implementation
  • Coaches. mentors, develops & supervises staff of 2-5 personnel at the AS and AE levels, on an consistent and ongoing basis, effectively communicating at all times
  • Provides staff with formal verbal and written feedback through performance evaluations and MBO’s bi annually
  • Identifies and communicates clear roles and responsibilities of team members establishing ground rules
  • Exhibit a mastery to staff and clients of the health care industry, the medical marketing and communications field, disease-specific issues and clinical data that are of vital importance to company and to the company’s clients
  • Liaison with client for signatures on contracts when applicable
  • Routes administrative pieces through clients’ internal processes (when applicable)
  • Communicates with faculty, clinical and/or expert resources regarding content and direction
  • Reviews status/contact reports to client on a frequent basis
  • Provides Client and Faculty management
  • Provides budget status & communication w/ Client
Education or Equivalent:
  • 4-year college degree and 5-7 years client service/project management experience preferably in the healthcare industry OR a combination of 5-7 years experience in a marketing services environment.
Knowledge/Skills Requirements:
  • Ability to manage and prioritize numerous, complex programs in various stages of life cycle
  • High-level client service skills, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Supervisory experience
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the therapeutic areas, science, markets and products for all assigned accounts
  • Solid Knowledge of marketing principles, preferably health care marketing
  • Demonstrate the ability to apply marketing knowledge to brand building initiatives
  • Demonstrate ability to use information and data effectively
  • Managed market/care experience
  • Works with confidential and sensitive corporate, client and employee information and must conduct him or herself accordingly.
  • Demonstrates analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to provide solutions with little direction

Department Responsibility:
  • Provides standard and customized reports to clients at specified intervals
  • Adheres to PhRMA, FDA, OIG and ACCME guidelines
  • Ensures documentation of CE programs

  • Responds well under pressure, is flexible
  • Demonstrates ownership and accountability for all agency procedures and workflow
  • Implements Hub of the Wheel concept and ensures that team members are adhering to corporate standards
  • Attends multiple internal meetings with sales, client services, meeting services, traffic and other key personnel to discuss project status, etc.
  • Ensure the highest standards of quality control of client materials and, as appropriate, develop best practices protocols for project teams to facilitate such quality control
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Travel required up to 25%
  • Required to be available to work outside the company’s standard work hours
