Department and Position Overview:
The Account Executive supports business development/sales and client services efforts by implementing and managing projects in a timely and efficient way, assuring high-quality delivery to meet client expectations. The Account Executive manages the project life cycle, using proven techniques and tools to achieve milestones and deliver results. The Account Executive drives the daily activities of the project, communicating with key internal service delivery personnel and manages scope creep, scope change, and timeline inhibitors. The Account Executive is responsible for implementing projects in such a way as to promote and support the success and profitability of all continuing education and/or brand support projects.

Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in budget development and reconciliation of jobs to ensure minimum net and gross profit standards/requirements
  • Works within and manages to assigned and budgeted labor hours by job and position level, to ensure minimum standards of job profitability.
  • Maintains and/or exceeds minimum billable utilization percentages for position level
  • Works with Traffic to develop timelines and communicate milestones
  • Executes timelines and overall project management with risk/response consciousness
  • Oversees integration of all project elements
  • Provides quality management based on internal/external client expectations
  • Coordinates the development of client proposals, budgets and reconciliations
  • Modifies core product framework plans to form custom project plans
  • Initiates and reviews work orders with key internal groups
  • Initiates and measures effectiveness of recruitment strategies
  • Assists and provides liaison with faculty/moderators
  • Coordinates and participates content planning call with faculty and/or key content experts and personnel
  • Interaction with finance in regard to contract negotiations for outsourced service
  • Executes project plan based on budget
  • Manages communication with key, internal personnel regarding initial and on-going information and status
  • Completes client contact reports as deemed necessary
  • Provides on-site project management; serves as a liaison between meeting services and client services
Department Responsibility:
  • Provides standard and customized reports to clients at specified intervals
  • Adheres to PhRMA, FDA, OIG and ACCME guidelines
  • Ensures documentation of CE programs
  • Works with confidential and sensitive corporate, client and employee information and must conduct him or herself accordingly
  • Displays professionalism at all times
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency to obtain results
  • Responds well under pressure, is flexible
  • Demonstrates ownership and accountability for all agency procedures and workflow
  • Implements Hub of the Wheel concept and ensures that team members are adhering to corporate standards
  • Attends multiple internal meetings with sales, client services, meeting services, traffic and other key personnel to discuss project status, etc.
  • Ensure the highest standards of quality control of client materials and, as appropriate, develop best practices protocols for project teams to facilitate such quality control
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Travel required up to 25%
  • Required to be available to work outside the company’s standard work hours
Education or Equivalent:
  • 4-year college degree
  • 1 year relevant job experience preferably in the healthcare communications industry preferred
  • Managed market/care experience a plus
Knowledge/Skills Requirements:
  • Project management, excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to provide clear direction and set expectations
  • Strong organizational skills
