Department and Position Overview:
The Creative Services Department provides high-quality design solutions to the company and its clients. The Senior Graphic Designer’s primary responsibilities include creation, execution and management of creative projects for the company, under the direction of Creative/Art Director(s).

Specific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities:
  • Maintains and/or exceeds minimum billable utilization percentages for position level
  • Assist in budget development and reconciliation of jobs to ensure minimum net and gross profit standards/requirements
  • Works within and manages to assigned and budgeted labor hours by job and position level, to ensure minimum standards of job profitability.
  • Budget development and reconciliation of jobs to ensure minimum net and gross profit standards/requirements
  • Manages scope change process for all assigned jobs
  • Produce outstanding design solutions for the internal and external clients
  • Explore and present several design options for all projects
  • Create efficient workflow of art files by utilizing graphic software capability
  • Create printer dies and digital mock ups
  • Develop creative PowerPoint templates and assist in formatting
  • Develop logos for internal & external clients
  • Maintain company/internal marketing components including promotional pieces & website
  • Prep files for print release
  • Maintain art supplies/resources for the NJ design studio
  • Execute rounds of edits within company processes
  • Serve as back up to Production Artist as necessary
Education or Equivalent:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in art or related field and 2-4 years creative services experience, preferably in the healthcare industry, or a combination of some college and 4-6 years experience in design roles in marketing and/or creative services environments.
Knowledge/Skills Requirements:
  • Well-developed client service, communication, interpersonal, organizational, decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage numerous, complex projects in various stages of life cycle
  • Ability to manage own projects and departmental/interdepartmental processes
  • Ability to execute strong and effective design solutions as they relate to the healthcare industry, medical marketing and communications
  • Working knowledge of creative and production services operations
  • Well-developed understanding of design principles
  • Understanding of basic marketing principles, preferably healthcare marketing
  • Ability to conceptualize and present ideas for projects
Department Responsibility:
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, QuarkXpress and Microsoft Office on Mac and PC
  • Ability to use information and data effectively
  • Display professionalism at all times
  • Works with confidential and sensitive corporate, client and employee information and must conduct him or herself accordingly
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency to obtain results
  • Work within agreed-upon financial and time budgets
  • Participate in corporate initiatives related to operations, human resources and business acumen when asked
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Execute and promote the creative and operational vision set forth by department management
  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability for agency procedures and workflow
  • Attend all internal and external meetings as needed
  • Assist with in-house production of materials and mock-ups as requested
  • Serve as back up to other department members as necessary
  • Responsible for updating supervisor on project status, as well as reporting any issues or conflicts as they arise
  • Help develop and support best practice protocols for project teams to facilitate efficient processes and high quality control standards
  • Cultivate, develop and maintain strong and effective internal team and external vendor relationships
  • Works well under pressure and is flexible to a changing environment
  • Occasionally required to be available outside regular working hours
  • Occasional travel may be required
